Ingri Baekkelund was 20 years old at the start of the 2nd World War. She worked in Molde telephone exchange and had a wide group of friends and relations who had grown up together and who enjoyed the outdoor life. The German bombing and occupation had a shocking and destructive effect on Molde - but also gave the young people something to fight against, and there was a heightened sense of "life to be lived.

This book tells an exciting story and gives a true flavour of the times as experienced by a gregarious and adventurous young woman.
